Porvoo lights 2024

Well, the annual Porvoo lights festival was here again. And it just keeps improving. The weather was almost perfect this February weekend. Only around -15° C and practically no wind, so an absolutely wonderful evening to walk and stand around, especially when you’ve dressed accordingly.

I can’t remember the last time I’ve seen a queue at Porvoo Cathedral, but when the deep bass sounds reverberate inside and there is an exquisite light-show, success is practically guaranteed.

The church wasn’t the only thing that had beautiful lighting and sound effects. I’m a bit peeved, that I didn’t video the water fountains that sprouted in formation and synchronised with music. Some of the other features had music too, but some of it was a bit too spectral for me.
