Just a short hop away from the Pantheon, you’ll find Piazza Navona with Berninis famous Fountain of Four Rivers, and a couple of smaller ones with some touches of Bernini as well. The square itself has a long history, having even been the site of a stadium at one time.
Around the piazza there are a lot of restaurants, which actually aren’t as expensive as you might think. This we discovered the next day when taking a break near Piazza del Popolo, which really surprised us. The ice-cream and espresso break at the Tre Scalini at Piazza Navona seemed like a bargain.
