This is a special place and has a century old history of being a nature reserve, apart for a few years during WWII when the military occupied it.

I don’t think we miss out on visiting Ulko-Tammio any time we’re in the neighbourhood. This place has its own special feeling. You can walk around the nature trail and se the wonders of life in the archipelago. You can sit in your boat and the safety of a sheltered harbour while a storm is raging on the sea. You can stand old the cliffs and lean into the wind while listening to the waves pounding the ancient granite.

What you can’t do, is sit and surf on the internet since the reception is abysmal. What a marvellous haven.
