We knew that Jaana had a work gig coming up one November Saturday, so we decided it would be a great opportunity to have a weekend staycation at the same time. The weather wasn’t on our side, a dreary drizzle and rain accompanied us.
The best part of late autumn or early winter, is that it’s dark a lot of the time. This gives one the chance to practice street photography at night or early in the morning in very low lighting conditions. So while Jaana was at work, the furry girls and I walked the streets of Tampere morning, day and evening. Some of my shots even worked out pretty OK. A little more practice and they might even be sharp one day.
If you have a restaurant at your hotel, why bother to out in the town, especially if it’s raining horizontally. So we decided to dine in at the Saivo kitchen & bar of moments. We chose the three course surprise menu. And were served about five. And it was delicious.
Before leaving Tampere, we obviously had to visit the chocolate shop, Tallipihan Suklaapuoti for some tasty souvenirs. If you like chocolates, this is a warm recommendation for your visit to Tampere.
