Piazza di Spagna and Fontana di Trevi 2.12.2016

After an overdose of culture and arts in the morning, we wandered the streets in the general direction of the Spanish steps. Leaving Castel Sant’Angelo behind us, we found the second-hand books and what not, and further on, the “real” flea-market stuff.

We couldn’t find Audrey Hepburn and we forgot to get the ice-cream for the photo remake, so we made do with what we had.

We were getting a little bit hungry, since we hadn’t eaten since the little sandwich on top of St. Peter’s so, on the way to Trevi, we sat down for some Prosecco and appetisers. And we noticed Xmas is around the corner.

Fontana di Trevi, what a beautiful place. Especially in the evening with the lights. A pity the marble here is actually something recycled from the Colosseum. Destroy something to create new beauty.

After a quick bite to eat, we headed back to our room. Only 12 hours and 17 km of walking. Pretty good day for a tourist.
