Also on top of the Vomero hill, just under Castel Sant’ Elmo, you will find the former monastery of San Martino.  Today it houses a museum with Spanish and Bourbon era artifacts. One of the most fascinating exhibits is the fantastic presepe, one of the greatest in the world. In my view, it actually is better than the ones you will find in the royal palaces in the city.
