Winter is over and the sailing season is here! There hasn’t been any ice on the sea, so the season could have started ages ago. But it’s still quite chilly.
Maya plunged back in her element on Friday the 24 the of April. That was around the normal time we’ve aimed for during the past years. The major difference was that she’s been in warm storage at a shipyard and they took care of everything.
Our biggest job was getting all the gear on board and hoisting the sails. We got all that done by Saturday afternoon. We were able to cast of just before five in the afternoon, in a sunny, chilly NW 10-20 knot breeze. Oh the joy and happiness!
